Tipnut’s Weekly Update: {June 27th, 2012}
It’s time for Tipnut’s Weekly Update! Today you’ll find a recipe for Picnic Casserole Bread, a freebie alert for iPad users plus a fresh batch of project updates (including July 4th goodies and a few for Canadians too).
We’ve been dealing with severe weather the past little while (watches & warnings for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms) so it’s been quite the trick getting computer time. The power is frequently off or the internet is down or there’s a fierce thunderstorm going on and I’m not willing to sit in front of a plugged in computer while all that’s going on. It may not be chaos 24/7, but it’s definitely over the top.
==> Yeesh! How’s a gal supposed to blog!
It’s been an eye-opener for me to see how fragile our infrastructure really is, some parts of the province I live in have experienced power outages for 48 hours at a time. I live in a fairly populated city with a few hundred thousand people…this shouldn’t be happening.
Even with the power outages, I did manage to bake this casserole bread the other day and we thought it was great (I plucked it from an old community cookbook). I added it to the page Homemade Breads: {Both Oven Baked & Machine} (right underneath the “Baked” bread recipes).
Ingredients include crumbled bacon, finely chopped onion, chopped red bell pepper, dill seed and cheddar cheese.
A word of warning though, the kiddos spied the specks of red, orange, black and would have none of it. The adults? We gobbled it up
. Cut it in wedges and enjoy (it’s simple to make too).
Next week (weather, internet and power permitting) I’ll have some new articles published. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the updates that I did manage to put together for you, I think they’re all great ![]()
Oldies But Goodies

even out the corner of your eye. Just avoided the parts around the adv.
