Tipnut’s Weekly Update: {March 28th, 2012}
It’s time for Tipnut’s Weekly Update! Here’s what’s new today: dozens of new Easter projects, a controlled-release potting mix recipe, homemade spaghetti sauce, a new grill cleaning tip, homemade bbq sauce, burgers & sliders…plus a new batch of projects and freebies to check out. Have fun!

- Tipnut’s Easter Goodies: Just over 75 new crafts, printables and sweet treats have been added to the site. I also manually checked every link on the site and updated any that had changed (or removed those that were no longer valid). If you previously found a project or two you were interested in but only reached an error page, please check again and it should be fixed (if it hasn’t been removed).
- How To Sterilize Soil & Organic Potting Mix Recipes: A new recipe has been added to the bottom of the page (incorporates blood meal, kelp, greensand, bone meal and potting mix).
- Grill Cleaners & Tips: Did you know coffee can help clean your greasy burners and grills? A new tip sent in by Jennifer has been added to this page. Thanks Jennifer!
- 25+ Homemade Spaghetti Sauces: This page has been updated and revamped with just under 30 recipes (including a few slow cooker and canning recipes).
- 30+ Lip Smackin’ Barbecue Sauces: What do coffee, whiskey, cherry cola, apples, cranberries have in common? They’re all ingredients in this packed list of homemade barbecue sauce recipes. This page has been redone from top to bottom with a bunch of new recipes added. Anyone up for grilling this weekend?

- 50+ Burger Recipes – The Very Best I Could Find!: Oh my, this is a collection that I’m going to have to pace myself with…I love a good hamburger! This page has been totally redone and features burgers (beef), sliders and veggie burgers (just a handful so far). Some are simple (yet promise to be tasty) while others are loaded with gourmet-style ingredients.

(From yumsugar.com) Spaghetti With Garlic, Olive Oil & Chili Flakes: Here’s what I tried last week for my meatless Friday meal and hola! it was DELICIOUS! If you don’t care for spice or hot food, this isn’t something you’ll like. But if you crave spicy foods that make your lips tingle from the heat, this is right up your alley.
Couldn’t be easier to make and the only thing I changed was gently heating the oil, removing it from heat then adding the garlic and chili flakes, this gives the spices a chance to infuse the oil first while the spaghetti cooks. Another tip: I made it with 1/3 cup olive oil and thought it was too much, I’ll use 1/4 cup next time. I’ve added this to the 75+ Pasta Pleasers page, it’s now a keeper in my personal recipe collection
.
