It’s time for Tipnut’s Weekly Update! Today you’ll find a collection of recycled craft projects, a project sheet for rainwater harvesting (DIY barrels & rain chains), diy wind chimes, new recipes for ground beef, a curly hair technique that I’m debating plus a fresh batch of crafts, DIY projects and clever tips & tricks for you to check out. - Rainwater Harvesting With Barrels & Chains [2]: I’ve started a new collection of projects featuring how to make rain barrels and rain chains (just a few so far but there will surely be more coming).
- 35+ Ground Beef Ideas {Easy Meals} [3]: Big update to this page with new recipes, the hamburger casseroles page has been moved here as well as instructions for boiling ground beef (to cook big batches and freeze).
- 8 Ways To Make Wind Chimes [4]: Here are a few different projects to check out…did you know there’s a bit of superstition surrounding these?

- Fabric Softener Recipes & Reusable Dryer Sheets [5]: (from 2007) Plenty of tips, recipes and DIY ideas here (diy wool dryer balls, lavender dryer bags, a quick tip for soaking washcloths in liquid fabric softener and drying them to use over and over again and much, much more).
- Lightning, Thunder & The 30-30 Rule [6]: I pull this page up at the start of each summer just to remind myself. Math is involved (but it’s easy).
- Cleaning A Microwave: How To & Tips [7]: This article is over 5 years old and is still a big hit with readers…why? Because it works! Learn how to “steam clean” and transform the grungiest microwave into a shiny clean appliance (easy peasy!).
Thinking about it: Curly Girl Method – Before and After [8]. I just know I’ll go bonkers if I leave in conditioner without washing it out, and there’s the “no shampoo” thing…BUT I wonder if the “No Poo” [9] method (using a baking soda & water paste, then rinsing with apple cider vinegar and water) will do the trick. Also note one of the first comments that recommends using Coconut Oil [10] instead of conditioner and hair gel (that I can do!).
What I’m making for dinner tonight: Pan-Roasted Chicken With Lemon-Garlic Green Beans [11] (I love easy one-pot meals…especially on busy Wednesdays!). Will be adding to the page 14 Ways To Jazz Up Chicken Breasts [12].
