I use old jars (especially the hinged-top mason jars) for dry goods such as popcorn, dried beans, rice, brown sugar, confectioner’s sugar, etc. These seal better than any plasticware ever can. They are especially good for saving those dribs and drabs of dried pasta for use later.
My grandmother - who grew up during Depression - saved every plastic margerine or cool whip tub to freeze leftovers - no matter how small the tub or leftover. She also washed and reused aluminum foil. Even if she had spare plastic lids they were reused under plants to help catch drips.

Such a huge fan of Danny Seo. His blog is excellent and his book is great too! I happened upon it at the library and have read his blog daily since I read that book. Great tips!

Could have gotten a couple more tips if the repeats had been eliminated. Disappointed.
