We had a cable bill of $120 a month, including our internet!! Even though we could afford it, there was NO WAY I was willing to pay that much for TV that we barely watch! My BF agreed with my decision to pull the plug, but the kids sure protested! I did keep the internet, but it works out better in the long run for us. Almost all the TV we watched can be seen online, either thru free tv sites like Hulu.com or thru the station site directly! My kids STILL get to enjoy all the shows they've watched before, and we're only paying $36 a month now! That's over $80 a month saved, which translates to over $960 a year!!!

I lost my job in February, and have decided to stay home for now and go back to school instead. Things are tight, but because of all the tips I've learned, we're able to make ends meat!!
