Awhile ago I posted a cleaning recipe from an old cookbook that included vinegar, baking soda and bleach. This recipe has been removed from Tipnut due to household Vinegar & Bleach apparently being dangerous to mix together even in small amounts (chlorine gas is created). I discovered this while researching another old recipe for cleaning vintage linens, it was a vinegar dip with bleach. How these recipes survived and continued to be used and passed down, I don’t know.
