What a fantastic website. I have just found flour bugs in my flour and food cupboard and found you on the net.
Thank you so much - I will be trying some of your natural ideas.

One thing that works great for a pantry that I noticed was not included in the herb mixture is bay leaves. They are so large that you can put one in any open box and take them out easily. Since I started doing this, I never have a problem.

What a great idea, I can't wait to make some.

How long approximately would they last before needing a refill?

Hi Debby, the rosemary is really good for the silverfish, as well as the lavender. The mix should help with centipedes too, ants might need more citrus ingredients like orange and lemon peels and wash areas with a citrus infused water.

If you have a pest problem though you will need to eradicate it since these bags will not solve household infestation problems.

(sorry it took so long for your comment to show--it was stuck in my comment filters).

Does this help with the little, tiny ants? What about centapedes and silverfish? I have small children and am trying to stay away from pesticides.

Hi Patricia, you can order tansy at a herb store and on ebay. A local greenhouse may have it too.
