Here’s a bunch of ideas for making a variety of bulletin and memo boards, you’ll find cork, ribbon boards, dry-erase and magnetic versions. Some pretty, some plain, but each do the trick!

With Shutters ^[1]: Lovely message center with shutters that close for tidiness. Board is fabric wrapped homasote board.

Ribbon ^[2]: Homasote fiberboard covered in floral fabric and crisscrossed with ribbons held in place by painted nails. Also see this version ^[3].

Profile ^[4]: Cut an interesting shape from cork board and spray paint it then hang with adhesive mounting strips.

Fabric Magnet Board ^[5]: Cover a sheet of galvanized metal with fabric (using hot glue) and them frame with an old picture frame that’s been spiffied up with paint.

Desktop Corkboard ^[6]: Fill an 8×10 picture frame with a piece of cork, also shows how to make the paper flower push pins.

Picture Frame Dry Erase ^[7]: Fabric wrapped cardboard insert placed inside the frame and under the glass.

Patchwork ^[8]: No sewing involved, just glue fabric to squares of an old bulletin board.

Wall-Sized Whiteboards ^[9]: Some showerboard, cheap plywood sheeting and liquid nails are all you need for this project.

Fabric Covered Magnet Board ^[12]: Tutorial shows how to cover a magnetic dry erase board with fabric and then frame it with ribbon.

Repurposed Calendar Holder ^[13]: Make a pretty bulletin board with something that has an interesting frame (like an old calendar holder), a roll of cork, cardboard & paint.

Woven Burlap ^[16]: Made by covering a cork board with woven strips of burlap (stapled to the back). Easy peasy project!

Framed Chicken Wire Display Board ^[17]: An old picture or mirror frame is spray painted then chicken wire is stapled to the back. Can be used to hold pictures, notes, whatever you like.

Dry Erase Calendar ^[18]: Tightly woven burlap is marked in a grid (using a Sharpie) then placed inside a glass frame, mark dates on glass with dry erase markers.

Dry-Erase Memo Board ^[19]: Neat idea using a picture frame with fabric wrapped cardboard and transparency sheet on top.

Neon Edge Pinboard ^[20]: A thick sheet of cork is cut into any shape you like using a template then a bright edge is painted.
