Cinnamon Votives: Crafty Idea
Today’s feature is from Jonathan Fong Style with this super easy project Cinnamon Votives:
Take an ordinary glass votive and turn it into a cinnamon-scented tealight holder. How cozy and Martha can you get?
All you need to make these are:
- A glass votive holder
- Rubber band
- Cinnamon sticks
- Raffia
- Tealight candle
The idea is to surround the votive with cinnamon sticks (secured by a rubber band), finish off with some raffia, insert a candle and voila! I think these would make nice little gifts too. There’s also a tip to add cloves at the bottom of the votive for added fragrance.
Nice little project! Please visit the site for complete project details.

Another “scented” idea.
I saw this item today that sparked an idea. It was a bottle of scent that had skewers in it. I figured ah…this would make a handy dandy easy to do gift a roo.
Take a decorative bottle or one that is oddly shaped and fill 3/4 full of oil or fragrance. Pinch off the bottom of several skewers and place in the bottle. The wood absorbs the fragrance and you have a nice smelling simple little gift.
