Here’s a nice assortment of clutches to make with some designs fancy enough for dinners and parties while others are more casual and suitable for running day-to-day errands. Most are very simple to make and a great way to use up small pieces of fabric. Enjoy!


Scrappy [1]: Made with a steel clutch frame and features a scrappy strap made with assorted fabric scraps. Free pdf pattern download available.

Fabric [2]: Supplies needed include decorative fabric (for outside), fabric for lining, heavyweight fusible stabilizer, fusible fleece and metal clutch frame hardware.



Gathered [3]: Made with three coordinating fabrics, a zipper and scraps of medium weight fusible interfacing.

Little Clutch Purse [4]: Perfect size for a little girl or, with a shorter strap, it would be a great clutch bag for essentials.



Love Bug [5]: Made with a piece of cotton fabric, fleece fabric, zipper and buttons for embellishment. Free pdf pattern download available.

Snappy Front [6]: Finished size approximately 9 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ with a zippered top closure and a fully lined interior with two inner drop pockets.

Patchwork [18]: You’ll need 70 (3″) squares in assorted colors (about 15) which are then stitched together in rows of 5 before assembling.
