How To Consolidate Your Lipsticks

Picture of Lipstick Palette [dominomag.com] - Tipnut.comToday’s feature is from Domino with How To Consolidate Your Lipsticks:

You can always consolidate your collection by squishing each bullet into an empty palette—really satisfying—then scooping out the bottom (there’s more left in there than it looks).

Or here’s the less artsy, more polished DIY way: microwave each shade individually (a cream pitcher works well) and pour them into a palette, where it will harden all smooth and perfect.

The first thing that came to mind after reading this was how perfect this would be to split a lipstick into two. You’d need two palettes for this, but you can keep one at home and tuck another into your purse or work tote.

This is also a neat way to salvage broken lipsticks or the last bit of lipstick in the bottom of a lipstick holder.

I’ve actually done something like this for years!!! I mix a tube of lipstick with some carmex to thin out the color as I prefer more of a tint than an actually lipstick.

  2. Serenity says:

Using a lipbrush to apply lipstick will make it last longer, make the application more precise and you will be ablt to get atevery bit of the lipcolor.
