If you’re new to Tipnut or wish to revisit a few of the goodies, here is a list of the popular tips from last month (based on page views) that you won’t want to miss. They’re in no particular order.

2. Free Gifts In A Jar Recipes + More (Updated): Here’s a collection of resources that share hundreds of free recipes for these lovely homemade gifts. I also added a few treats at the bottom for how to decorate the jar lids as well as some freebie printables (labels & tags for gifts in a jar).
3. 30 Pampering Beauty & Spa Gifts To Make: A collection of projects published on Tipnut to make all kinds of lovely homemade gifts.
4. Gifts From The Kitchen: 30 Gift-Worthy Recipes & Mixes: This is a collection of recipes and mixes for making various gifts of food items.
5. Kitchen Gift Idea: Cranberry Vinegar Recipes: Cranberry vinegar is simple to make and it’s a lovely homemade gift from the kitchen. You can use cranberry vinegar as a salad dressing, a meat marinade or drizzle over cooked poultry and meat for a nice flavor. You can also cook it down as a reduction sauce to spoon over meats and side dishes.
6. Recipe Hit List: 30 Holiday Cookie Recipes: I’ve been busy collecting recipes for holiday baking, this week’s Recipe Hit List features cookies that will fill festive trays quite nicely (and make great homemade gifts too). Many traditional favorites included but lots of new ideas too (for me at least).
7. Holiday Baking Tips: Cookie Assembly Line: Here are a few tips I have for making the most of your time when baking several dozen cookies at once.
8. Noriko Handbag: Free Pattern Download: Here’s an exquisite (and unique) handbag designed by Lazy Girl Designs (free pattern download!).
9. DIY Wrap Up: 101 Gift Tags, Toppers & Wraps: This list was so fun to put together, all kinds of great printables freely available from around the net.
10. Recipe Hit List: 12 Breakfast Casseroles: Most of these can be prepared the night before then cooked in the morning, a perfect solution to busy weekends! It’s going to be hard choosing just one, each of these recipes look delicious .

Tipnut Update

Wow, lots happened last month with Tipnut now in magazine format, then a problem with some browsers crashing (it turned out to be an error in javascript that took me forever to figure out), a change in how the daily email updates are displayed, videos from 5min incorporated into the site and a user generated help area using the Yedda service (that’s where you get to choose the help topics, tips & ideas!).

A big thanks to Jeff & Joni for helping me pinpoint the browser crashing problem and to all the readers who sent me notes about the issue–it wasn’t happening for me initially so I would have had no idea without that feedback. Thanks to everyone who hung in there with me so patiently .

A quick note about the email updates: They are the same as before, you still click on the title of the tip that you want to visit. The only change is the addition of More Tips To Check Out that’s after each daily tip (if you view emails in html or by RSS). There are now an added three related links per tip:

This is a handy little feature to accommodate those who may not have fancied the tips for a particular day but were visiting Tipnut just to see what the random related tips were (to get their daily Tipnut fix in ). I compromised at 3 related tips in the updates rather than the full 5 that are displayed on site.
