Picture of Frozen Yogurt - Tipnut.comDid you know that you can freeze yogurt? Buy whatever’s on sale, mix it up well to distribute the fruit (or add your own if you like–1 cup mashed or chopped fruit per quart yogurt), then freeze and serve as a frozen treat. This is pretty much the only way I’ll eat yogurt.

You can also let it thaw and have as normal. It may separate somewhat once fully thawed, but a good stir will fix that.

If the yogurt is a solid block of ice, just let it sit at room temperature for awhile to soften it up.

You can also freeze the yogurt in popsicle molds–healthy treat that kids love!

The texture is a little different than what we’re used to with store bought frozen yogurt. It does make up quite nice though in an ice cream maker if you have one. Or you could try whipping the yogurt after an hour in the freezer, and then again an hour later. This helps prevent a grainy texture.
