DIY: Pretreated Dusters or Dusting Rags
Frugal Tip: Instead of buying pretreated dusting cloths, here’s how you can make your own.
Purpose: Pretreated dusting cloths are antistatic and hold onto dust better rather than just pushing it around.
Small Batch Recipe
1 cup hot water
2 TBS lemon oil
Large Batch Recipe
1 pint hot water
1/4 cup lemon oil
Directions:
Mix the water and lemon oil. Take clean squares of cheesecloth, flannel or regular rags and dip them in the liquid. Wring out and hang to air dry. Use for dusting as needed.
These are dusting cloths, not cleaning cloths–don’t mix with cleaners.
