Here’s a fine collection of free patterns for fingerless gloves (and handwarmers) that I’ve gathered from around the ‘net and culled from my bookmarks. Lots of different styles and there are some really talented designers in this group!
Fetching Beauty : Finished cuff circumference: 7 inches (unstretched) and length: 6.25 inches.
Lucky Warm Fuzzies : These are made from a scrumptiously soft synthetic yarn and embellished with vintage buttons.
Carrie : The cuffs are done in k1p1 ribbing and the body in moss stitch.
Furry Cuffs : Features fun “furry” cuffs made with Berroco Plush.
Spirogyra Wristwarmers : Made in a Slanting Shell Stitch design.
Evenstar : For smaller or larger sizes go up or down 1 or 2 needle sizes. Length to wrist is approx 12 cm.
Long Striped : Sized to fit average woman – 7 inches in circumference and 12 1/2 inches long.
Mikado : This is for a long pair, you’ll find a shorter version available too.
Ribbed : Worked on DPNs and divided on three needles, pdf download available.
Lacey Office : Stretches to fit all hands up to an 8″ wrist circumference.
Cabled : A basic stockinette stitch background and k2, p2 ribbing puts all the focus on the cable down the back of the hand.
Eeryne : Made with DPNs (4 needles) and fingering to sport weight yarn.
Emerald Green : Worked in Stockinette, Moss and Double Moss stitches.
Endpaper : These would be an excellent first project for a novice – they’re small and snappy and dead-simple.
Quick & Simple : Quick garter stitch using straight needles and worked flat with simple seaming at the end.
Casablanca : Cabled up the center, you’ll get two pairs from one skein of wool!
