We’ve all gone wild for those dramatic “living walls” of succulents. Here, grower Robin Stockwell shows you how you can make your own.

Instead of framing a picture, why not a whole garden? Here, cuttings of assorted succulents knit together to create colorful, textural living tapestries.

Can you imagine this on your deck or patio, wow!

You’ll need about 60 succulent pups to make this (either steal from your garden or purchase them), a frame with mesh insert (that you can make yourself or buy), cactus mix potting soil and TIME. Once the pups are planted in the frame, you’ll need up to 12 weeks (as little as 4 if you’re lucky) for the succulents to root securely in place. After that you can display the frames upright in a sunny location (morning or filtered).

Once every 10 days or so you’ll need to water the succulents lightly (by laying the frame down flat, watering, then standing upright again once all the water has drained).

Please visit the site listed above for all the details (including directions for how to build the frame yourself), so creative! For another lovely succulent idea, see How To Make A Succulent Ball.
