Here’s a pattern of a crocheted shoe tote bag from a 1965 issue of The Workbasket. I’ve scanned it into a pdf file, feel free to download it.

It takes approximately 210 yards (1 skein) in any desired color. Use a plastic crochet hook, size J or any size hook which will result in gauge given.
