Looking for some inspiration to make a homemade gift for your child’s teacher? Here are dozens of different crafts to make and give that are not only nice to receive, several are quite useful too! If you’re crunched for time, many fit the bill as last-minute projects since they can be whipped up quickly. You’ll also find a selection of free printables listed at the bottom. Whether it’s for the end of the school year, back to school, Christmas and seasonal holidays or Teacher Appreciation Day, you’ll have it covered with this project sheet! Monogrammed Tote [1]: No sewing involved! Cut out a letter from fabric, back it with fusible webbing and then iron onto a ready-made canvas bag. Easy!

Decorative Clipboards [2]: Cover a mini-clipboard with pretty scrapbook paper and Mod Podge. Also see this patchwork clipboard [3].



Coffee Lovers Treat [4]: Make a fabric coffee sleeve and wrap it around a cup filled with thank you notes and a gift certificate.

Crafty Hand Sanitizer [5]: Peel off the label from a bottle of hand sanitizer and add a clever saying with vinyl letters.



Pencil Cup or Vase [6]: Hot glue pencils around a can and then wrap with decorative ribbon and craft paper monograms.

Doily Treat Bags [7]: Fill a treat bag with individually wrapped chocolates or candies (with tissue paper), add a doily topper and thank you tag (tags are a free pdf download).



A Spot of Tea [8]: Make a teacup shaped pouch with decorative card stock and insert a bag of specialty tea and thank you notes. Card template download available (free pdf).

Stripe-y Tote [9]: Sew a sturdy bag roomy enough to hold plenty of books, lots of pockets and personalized with name stenciled on the bag front.



Spiffy Scissors [10]: Decorate the blades of scissors with pretty paper and Mod Podge Dimensional Magic then package in a clear bag tied with ribbon and topped with a tag.

Post-It Notes Holder [11]: Insert decorative paper inside a clear plastic photo frame, embellish the top with silk flowers, glass beads, whatever you like then glue on a stack of Post-It notes.



Plastic Apple Boxes [12]: Made from the bottoms of plastic soda bottles, lined with fabric or tissue paper. Fill with assorted treats and notes.

Starburst Mug Rug [15]: Quilt a bright & cheery mat to hold drinks and treats (and protect a desk surface).



DIY Monogram Mug [16]: Nice idea for both males and females, a plain white mug is decorated with a porcelain pen and baked to set design. Fill with cocoa mixes or whatever else you like.
