Jen Marten's recipe is the one I've been using (from this blog) and it's working great - it allows me to put the paper towels in a normal wipes container (which I appreciate). Thanks for sharing it!

My girlfriends and I have found this way to do it much easier and you use less product!

2 cups water
2 TBL baby soap
1 TBL fragrance free lotion
Viva paper towels (regular size without any print on it) CUT IN HALF (I use a serrated bread knife, my friend uses a hand saw)

-in a LARGE sausepan bring water to boil.
-add lotion and soap.
-whisk together(return to boil)
-turn off stove
-put paper towel half in the pan
-cover 30 seconds
-with tongs flip the paper towels
-wait another 30 seconds/until all water is absorbed
-remove center/core with the tongs
-remove paper towels/wipes and let them cool on a plate about 10 minutes.

then you can put them in a NORMAL wipes container!!
no need to figure out what to store them in!
remember that they will mold if you don't use them in a couple of weeks!

*edit: removed email address, thanks for the recipe Jen :)

I found that an empty Folger's coffee container (the large plastic kind) fits half a roll perfectly! A great time saver is to use your electric carving knive to cut the paper towel roll in half (it's super fast and doesn't leave the edges as jagged).
Love these wipes, don't think I'll ever buy from the store again!

My son is 13 years old and I used the baby wipe recipe with him. They are great due to the lack of alcohol in the solution. The only downfall is that the wipes do need to be used fairly quickly. As I recall, they will sour if not used within 5-7 days.

We use this recipe and love it more than store bought wipes! As for a container we do buy one box of wipes from the store and then cut the paper towel in thirds and reduce the liquid accordingly. We like this because then we can still use the easy pop top lid and the nice opening that has them feed out on the wipes box. Works great!
