I blot fresh accidents with a towel and immediately sprinkle with baking soda. I let this dry and then go over the stain and surrounding area with my Bissel machine using hot water and a cup of vinegar in the tank. I use this on all my carpet and it keeps my home nice and fresh. The vinegar smell dissapates as the carpet dries.
