Homemade Metal Polish: Recipes

Materials Needed:

1 TBSP Flour
1 TBSP Salt
1 TBSP White Vinegar

Instructions:

  • In a small bowl, combine salt and flour. Stir until well blended.
  • Make a thick paste by adding vinegar to the salt and flour.
  • Using a damp sponge or cloth, smear on the paste. Rub gently.
  • Allow polish to dry for approximately one hour.
  • Rinse metal piece well with warm water.
  • Buff dry with soft cloth.

Suitable Metals: Brass, Bronze, Copper, Pewter
Not Suitable For: Silver, Silver Plate, Jewelry

Quick Tip: Copper Cleaner Mix

Mix equal parts of flour, salt and vinegar. Store in jar.

Spread a small amount on moist copper; let stand a few minutes and rinse.

    these r really wonderful and helpful tips about metal polishing recipies , but I would like if u can get a recipe to polish silver jewelery , and silver ornaments like teapots and so on

      Try toothpaste! Not the gel, but the paste.
