Household Rolodex
Try a rolodex instead of an address book to store all the names and phone numbers you need and use–from family and friends to co-workers, doctors, neighborhood video stores, pizza delivery and favorite repairmen.
They’re so much easier to keep updated (just toss outdated cards and make new ones). No more transferring and updating dozens (hundreds) of names and numbers to a new address book each year!
Keeping the information organized this way and placed in a central location also means your entire family will have no trouble looking up information when needed, including your children.
Since the rolodex can hold so much information, add retail stores you frequent, your children’s school numbers and teachers names, as well as places of business you regularly deal with. Include hours of business–saves a phone call and much quicker to find the information rather than digging through a phone book.
You can choose from all kinds of different rolodex styles, look for them at yard sales and flea markets–you can pick them up quite cheaply.
