Some lumber, some tarp, some play sand and voila! happy kiddos with a big ol’ sandbox. I love the awning they setup over top, nice way to protect the children from the sun. Lining the bottom of the sandbox with a tarp is ideal for keeping the weeds out.

Also notice in the comments section that a separate tarp is used to keep the sandbox covered. Cats just love getting in sandboxes to do their business so keeping it covered is a great idea.
