How To Clean Like A Maid
Today’s feature tip is from Curbly with great instructions for house cleaning: Clean Like A Maid:
The mantra of the company I worked for was top to bottom, left to right. This way you could easily walk into any room and know exactly where to get started.
The work was divided into”wet rooms” (bathrooms and kitchens) and “dry rooms” (living room, dining room, bedrooms). If we were lucky and weren’t understaffed, we’d go out with a partner and one person would do the “wet rooms” and the other person would do the “dry rooms”. One “wet room” and one “dry room” would be “deep cleaned” each cleaning.
The tips aren’t overwhelming at all, basically divide your house into “wet” and “dry” rooms, keep a kit full of your needed cleaning supplies and attack each room from top to bottom, left to right.

I just tried the micro-wave trick, and it does’nt work that well. Maybe I just need to follow this weekly…
The microwave trick works if, after you heat the solution for three minutes, you leave it standing in the closed microwave for another 10 minutes or so. Then open it up and wipe out. This gives the moisture in the air a chance to penetrate and soften whatever is stuck on the walls in there.
