The first upside down tomato plant I made was in 1982′ish
I see now others have caught on this great idea, I also see people are trying to capitalize with gadgets to do this.. So I made this website free to show how to make upside down tomato plants at a low cost.
Why pay 20.00 to 40.00 on someone gadget for upside down tomato plants when you can make it your self for under 8.00 (and that includes the plant and dirt)
Using 5 gallon buckets with lids, dirt and coffee filters, he built his own upside down planter setups. On the cheap! He also provides a few tips for moving the tomato plant indoors once fall comes.
Growing tomato plants upside down supposedly helps provide more air circulation as well as avoid ground bugs. Neat trick!
