How To Make Crayon Nibbles
Today’s feature is from CraftyDaisies with the instructions How To Make Crayon Nibbles For Toddlers:
A friend of mine told me awhile back about melting down crayons to make chunkier ones that are easier for little hands to hold (and tougher for them to break). This is also a great way to use up broken crayons that you have laying around.
Just take crayons (paper removed) and break into 1/2″ – 1″ pieces, pop the pieces into a mini-muffin pan (2 or 3 colors to a slot if you like), melt them at 265 degrees for about 6-8 minutes until they are just melted (don’t overbake). Pop the muffin pan into the freezer for 30 minutes until firm (after they cool and congeal a bit first on the counter) then pop the crayon rounds out of the pan.
You can make a bunch of these to bag up and give as gifts.
