How To Recycle Yarn
Today’s feature is from Ashley with the Sweater Unraveling / Yarn Recycling Tutorial
There are good seams and bad seams. This is what a good seam looks like. You can cut a good seam and unravel a long strand of yarn that you can wind into a huge ball. If you cut a bad seam, you will get short equal-length pieces of yarn which I call yarnlets.
She’s put together a nice set of instructions (lots of pictures too) beginning with where to start cutting the knitted item through to how to roll it and then washing the recycled yarn hank. Nice!
