Super Duper Kitchen Sponges: Crochet Pattern

Over the years I have been trying to perfect the crocheted kitchen scrubbie. My latest version uses nylon thread to add a “scrubby” effect on one side, and takes advantage of tunisian crochet’s Knit Stitch (the wrong side) for a really “grabby” surface on the other side that works great for picking up messes off counters and tables. I place a real sponge between the 2 sides to give it extra absorbency (but it works great without it too).

This is an easy pattern requiring basic crochet skills. The project uses regular kitchen cotton and nylon crochet thread (to give some extra scrubby power) and a little kitchen sponge to tuck inside.
