Make A Shelf Out Of An Old Drawer

Picture of Drawer Shelf [cleanhomejournal.com] - Tipnut.comToday’s feature is from Clean Home Journal with a tip to turn an Old Drawer to Rustic Shelf:

To create our charming rustic shelf—perfect for a bedroom or bath—all you need is an hour, a discarded drawer from a vintage dresser, cabinet or desk and a little know-how.

Items Needed:

  • Small vintage dresser drawer
  • Fine sandpaper
  • Sawtooth picture hanger
  • Primer and paint brushes
  • Acrylic paints
  • Measuring tape or ruler
  • Decorative paper, fabric or wallpaper
  • Scissors or precision knife
  • White craft glue
  • Dried or artificial branches, leaves and berries
  • Hot-glue gun with glue sticks

A great example of using something in a completely different way than it was intended to–yet so “Of Course!” when you see it. Great idea!
