Make Your Own Apricot Brandy
Today’s feature is another good one from Kansas A with her Apricot Brandy Recipe. Always good stuff over on that fellow Canuck’s blog, and I know she has a few more “homemade spirits” recipes if you’re interested
:
I know I’ve blogged about this before but I think it deserves repeating, besides “’tis the season.”
It’s my apricot brandy recipe but you can use fruit of any kind. I’ve done it with crab apples, blackberries, and cherries as well as apricots. My favourite is apricot, with crab apple running a close second. I wasn’t too keen on blackberries but I had some neighbours who cleaned it right up!
For the apricot brandy, it’s so easy I think even I could manage it. You just need a gallon jar filled with cleaned apricots, sprinkled with sugar on top, and a bottle of cheap vodka thrown in. Flip the jar over every day for 3 months and then you’re set.
Please visit Kansas A’s blog listed above for complete instructions and measurements.
