Today’s feature is from Savvy Seams with Instructions for a Panelled Lunch Bag

The design of the bag is a little different than the norm and I think it’s a cute one. For the lining, I’d use something like a waterproof nylon for easy wiping and cleaning, but you could use sturdy cottons and just plan on tossing in the wash regularly.

Supplies needed are pretty basic:

  • 1 yard of fabric
  • A bit of contrast fabric - you will need two panels, 4.5″x15″
  • 1 yard of lining fabric
  • 3″ long of 1/2″ wide velcro
  • One 1″ buckle
  • Thread

The pattern is under Creative Commons license, so I uploaded it here just in case it disappears from the web (the site has been retired) SavvySeams Panelled Lunchbag Pattern (pdf)
