Margarita Ice Pops – Recipe
Today’s feature is from Epicurious with a recipe for Margarita Ice Pops:
For this clever riff on the “frozen” Margarita, try to use natural lime pops (sold at natural and specialty foods stores) rather than artificially colored and flavored varieties.
Servings: Makes 6 servings
Using ready made popsicles, all you need is 1/2 cup tequila, 6 tablespoons fresh lime juice, 1/4 cup coarse kosher salt and 6 lime flavored ice pops. Pour the tequila and juice over the pops, dip them in kosher salt and serve.

I’d much rather see a recipe that makes your own ice pops using tequila, but alcohol products don’t really freeze. Our kids eat any popsicles before we could ever think to use them…
I’d never try this kind of Popsicle before…
My only question here is how long does it take to fully freeze? Can I substitute the Kosher salt with other type of salts as well?
