Memory Trunks
Today’s featured tip is from Monica’s blog at The Homespun Heart – Memory Trunks:
I have always loved the attic scene in Little Women where Jo lovingly looks through all the treasures in Beth’s box after she has passed away. And, so I was inspired to create these “memory trunks” for each of my daughters.
I always thought of keepsake trunks as something to do for girls, I guess the idea of a hope chest. But I read Monica’s post and realized that it would be nice if I stored all the special keepsakes and mementos that I have been saving for my son in a trunk or some type of ornate box as well. Not only is it something to keep the items safely stored and organized, it will be a useful item for him when he’s grown and out on his own. As well as pass down to his children.
I’ll be watching the auctions and yard sales for something special. And ‘manly’ of course
