Patina Finish How To By diyideas.com
Why wait a lifetime for a rich patina finish when you can create it yourself?
Here’s an easy way to add a faux-patina to concrete pieces you have for the garden, this adds a richness to the items that you’d otherwise have to wait years to naturally achieve.
Supplies are very basic, what you need:
- Concrete stains (oil or latex base)
- Water
- Spritz bottle
- Sponge
- Paint brush
Choose earthy colors for the concrete stain (black, raw umber, raw sienna, light green) for best results. Brush the tint on lightly then spritz with water. Use a sponge to add spots of color once the stain is dry. You really don’t need to be a talented artist to pull this off, nice & easy project!
