Pincushion Caddy: Free Pattern Download
Today’s feature is from Craftzine with this very cute Pin Cushion Caddy from Seams to Me:
This little pin cushion will travel with you to the couch, the porch, the bed, or anywhere that your sewing takes you.
There’s a cubby for your scissors, your thread, and any other hand-sewing essentials for your mobile sewing. You’ll be able to find everything, even if you’re on a haystack.
I love it, it’s so useful and so pretty! You’ll need complimentary fabric scraps, heavy double sided interfacing, fiberfill, aluminum foil, cardboard and a few other bits.
Pattern is available via a pdf download. Please visit the site above to get your copy. I’ll be adding this pattern tutorial to the big pincushion list: 45 Free Pincushion Patterns.

I absolutely LOVE this pincushion and really want the pattern instructions, but can not get them from the site!!
The pdf keeps freezing and getting hung up and I have to close it. Short of buying the book, is there another way to get the pattern? I wanted to make these for my sewing group. Any ideas will be so appreciated!
Thanks,
Joyce
Hi Joyce, make sure you have an up-to-date version of Adobe Reader, that may be why the pdf is freezing (here’s the latest update, version 9.1: Adobe Reader Download). If you still can’t open it try contacting the site directly, maybe they can get you a copy of the pattern in a different format.
Hi, when you go to the site with the pattern, right click on pdf download then choose save target as, and then it will download. Do the same for the pattern templates. Using that option instead of just clicking and downloading will work. But I use that all the time anyway because the download is so much quicker. (-:
Thanks for the tip, Donna Rae, it worked like a champ!
The pattern is no longer available.
Thanks for the heads up Laurie, I’ll watch for a few days as there might just be a problem with the website. I don’t think craftzine deletes project tutorials so hopefully this is just a glitch.
