  1. Lemon & Herb Potato Salad: (as seen in picture) I’ve never been a big fan of potato salads but I happen to really like this one. The key this potato salad is the lemon. Lemon adds just the right amount of freshness to the creamy dressing. I like to use red potatoes because the pink colour is lovely in this salad and there is no peeling involved. Perfect for when I’m feeling a little lazy. :) Enjoy! Recipe from Dragon’s Kitchen.
  2. Mom’s Potato Salad: No mayonnaise here, just oil and vinegar, Italian-style potato salad. Don’t get me wrong. I like the mayonnaise-based dressing as well as the next person, but this version is my kind of comfort food. I’ve made one change to the way my mom made it – and that’s to add a touch of Dijon mustard. It’s also good with cooked green beans tossed in too, a recipe my mother-in-law used to make. Recipe from Ciao Chow Linda.
  3. Russian Potato Salad: I suppose I should now tell you what’s included in this salad: potatoes, carrots, canned green peas, eggs, pickles, mayonnaise, onion (optional), Granny Smith apple (optional), and dill. There are quite a few variations on the basic theme: you can add defrosted peas, boiled chicken, even hot dogs! The key to this salad, in my opinion, is the mayonnaise: I truly love the flavor it adds to the otherwise healthy vegetables. Recipe found at Mango & Tomato.
  4. Creamy Dijon-Dill Potato Salad: This potato salad is so incredibly flavorful and is great to bring to parties. When picking a potato, I recommend small red potatoes because they hold their shape better after they are cooked. Recipe found at Cocoa And Cheese.
  5. How To Make German Potato Salad: I always thought of this more as a cold-weather kind of dish. But someone suggested it to go along with kielbasi, and it sounded like a great idea. It’s actually easier to make than “regular” potato salad, and is also pretty good cold. Recipe from How To Cook Like Your Grandmother.
  6. Zesty Potato Salad: Chunks of red potatoes, Dijon-style mustard and green beans combine with sliced green onions to create a delicious and colorful salad for a luncheon, a church supper or pot-luck gathering. Serve in lettuce cups for a pretty presentation. Recipe from Very Best Baking.
  7. Mustard ‘N Dill Potato Salad: Mustard and dill combine in this light and fresh version of a traditional potato salad recipe. Recipe from Land O’Lakes.
  8. Potato Salad with Herbed Balsamic Vinaigrette: This potato salad bucks the trend and is a bright, flavorful side dish that doesn’t compete with a main dish in terms of heft, and pairs well with everything from hamburgers, hot dogs and steak to Italian sausage and chicken. The white balsamic is milder than its traditional counterpart, and the fresh herbs bring this dish to life, with a flavor that is subtle and light. Recipe from Brown Eyed Baker.
  9. “Healthified” Classic Potato Salad: 53% fewer calories – 74% less fat – 75% less sat fat than the original recipe—see the comparison. Feel good about passing this slimmed salad at picnics and potlucks! From eatbetteramerica. Recipe from Eat Better America.
  10. Classic Potato Salad: Use Yukon gold, red or all-purpose potatoes in this classic potato salad. Recipe from McCormick.
  11. Warm Roasted Potato Salad: Potato salad is the quintessential summer picnic food, and this is a more refined take on an old classic. Recipe from Vegan Dad.
  12. Easy French Potato Salad Recipe: A friend of mine decided to have a last minute Memorial day BBQ and I agreed to make a potato salad. Not wanting something boring or heavy, I opted for this light french potato salad. This recipe comes from my favorite cooking lady, Ina Garten. Recipe found at Over The Hill And On A Roll.
  13. Lemon Cilantro Potato Salad: I created this recipe on the fly and really adore it. I can actually taste potato, two kinds, red and purple. I lick my lips to the lemony flavor absorbed into the salad due to loads of lemon zest and juice. The chopped vidalia onions are soft and sweet, while the chopped garlic scapes provide a snappy crunch. Recipe from Eat Boutique.
  14. Texas Potato Salad: This is the potato salad that always graced the table at our family barbecues—a thick mouthful that was soft and crunchy, tangy and sweet. But as I asked friends that hail from other regions of the country how they make their potato salads, their recipes sounded shockingly similar. Recipe from Homesick Texan.
  15. Tarragon Potato Salad: Simple is best but some times you just need a twist to liven up a classic like potato salad. Tarragon is an herb I don’t see much mention of and it is a shame. I love it, even enjoying a bright green Russian tarragon flavored soda called TapxyH which is a little tricky to find. Tarragon lends a fresh, lively flavor to potato salad without adding any extra time or effort to the usual prep-perfect for those hot days when one barely wants to eat, much less cook. Recipe from Coconut & Lime.
  16. Horseradish Spiked Red Potato Salad Recipe: If you really, really prefer sour cream or mayonnaise in your red potato salad- by all means, Babycakes, add some in. But if you’ve never tried a mayo-free dairy-free version of this popular summer side dish, why not give my vegan potato salad a whirl? You might even make some new friends at your next barbecue. Recipe from Gluten-Free Goddess.
  17. Potato Salad with Chili-Cumin Vinaigrette: The toasted cumin in the dressing, alongside the fresh cilantro and dried thai chilies, provide a perfect summery dressing with a bit of a twang. Also, since it’s mayo-less and uses olive oil as the base, this is very low in calories and fat, which makes it almost guilt-free. Recipe from 28 Cooks.
  18. Hot Potato Salad: Ever wanted to be the cook who made the dish that was a total hit at the picnic? We’ll look no further, this Hot Potato Salad will make your phone ring off the hook with everyone requesting the recipe. Recipe from French Knots.
