Quick Tip: Utilize The Pantry Door
Attach a hanging door shoe bag to the back of the pantry door to organize packets of dried soup, herbs, spices, powder mixes, small bottles, etc. Make sure to use a clear plastic shoe organizer so you can easily see what each pocket contains. I mentioned this tip earlier this year for storing all those “junk drawer breeder” items (see Organizing Tip: Over the Door Shoe Bags), but it just occurred to me that this is a perfect solution for pantries too.

We use one on the inside of our coat closet door for easy, organized access to mittens, hats, scarves, etc.

We use one for hats, mittens, and scarves too. You can even clothespin damp items to the outside of the plastic ‘bin’ part while they dry out. I haven’t lost a glove in two winters now.
We use a heavy-duty clear one on the back of the door of our home office. It holds all those random electronic tidbits: cell phone cords, backup camera battery, plastic case with the extra SD card, etc etc etc! I hated all that stuff that just accumulated in a messy pile. The shoe bag is perfect. It has to be heavy duty, though. Electronics tend to be hefty.
Nice blog. Thanks for your tips!
