I'm a professional housekeeper and I thoroughly enjoyed this tip. For years I've been able to help my clients keep a sparkling fridge by saying, "I don't HAVE 3 hours to clean the fridge, but I do have 1 minute a day." Every time I do the dishes I wipe one shelf or one surface or 1 drawer. The day before grocery shopping I check and see what's old or funky and out it goes. I never have to clean the fridge and there are no nasty surprises ever.

In addition, I hit the vent hood, stovetop, microwave inside and out and the breakfast table. Makes me look like a great housekeeper when in reality I just don't have time not to take that few extra minutes.

I use baking soda and water to clean out my fridge...it's safe for the kids, kills germs, gets the job done, and keeps my fridge sparkling clean.

[...] Refrigerator Cleaning: Try washing the inside of your refrigerator with hot, soapy water and then a rinse wipe with 50/50 solution of vinegar and water to help fight mildew. It also freshens and deodorizes the inside of your fridge. If your refrigerator is cleaned regularly, just the scrub down with vinegar and water will do the trick.
