Magic eraser? Um are you crazy? That will create micro-scratches in the finishing agent used on the insdie of the microwave, and can cause all kinds of problems later. This is according to the local appliance repair guys -- who love magic-eraser people, dryer-ball people, and washer-dispenser-ball people -- since those people provide a good 1/3 of the monthly income to the shop, either in the form of expensive repairs -- or for the microwaves, replacements when the microwave oven catches fire.

Rene try boiling vinegar in the microwave and letting it steam inside for awhile (even overnight). Hot vinegar seems to work well for funky odors.

Ok! Know we know how to get rid of the scorch mark, but how do we get rid of the burn smell that won't go away?!?
