Tissue Box Covers & Pouch Cozies

Here’s a nice mix of crafty projects for covering tissue boxes and pouches, most are sewn but there are a few other crafty techniques offered too (a couple revamp wooden box covers). I’ve organized the projects into two separate groups for easier browsing, enjoy!

Tissue Box Cover: Fabric cover that folds up the sides and is fastened in place with buttons and elastic loops.

Felted: Knit on circular needles, work one rectangle in the same manner of each color and sew together after felting.

Fabric: Can be made for any size box. The top is made from two pieces, so as to allow the kleenex through the top, and then you need four sides and some contrasting binding at the bottom.

Mod: This project updates an old wooden tissue box cover with paint, square woodsies and wood glue.

Photocraft’s Cover: This project recovers a plain wooden tissue box cover with snapshots, Creative Imaginations Narratives Negative Strip, self-adhesive paper and sealer.

Reversible: Made with elastic and assorted strips of pretty fabric. This cover will fit on a tissue box measuring 8.2″ x 8.4″.

Box Cozy: Not a full tutorial because it’s just too simple, linen fabric pieces are sewn together with a zigzag (raw edges exposed).

Mod Podge & Fabric: Easy to custom fit to a box size and shape of your choice. Apply pretty fabric to box with Mod Podge.

Handkerchief Wrapped: Cover the box with a few clever ties of a handkerchief. The DIY site it references is in Japanese but still check out the pictures if you need more guidance.

Granny Square: (crochet) Made with 8 ply yarn, a 3.5mm crochet hook and wool needle. Covers a box 12cm x 21.5cm x 8.5cm.
