Here’s a nice mix of crafty projects for tissue boxes and pouches, most are sewn but there are a few other crafty techniques offered too. I’ve organized them into two separate groups for easier browsing, enjoy!
Buttoned Loops : Material of your choice folds up the sides and is fastened in place with buttons and elastic loops.
Fabric : Can be made for any size. The top is made from two pieces, so as to allow the kleenex through the top, and then you need four sides and some contrasting binding at the bottom.
Photocraft’s : This recovers a plain wooden cover with snapshots, Creative Imaginations Narratives Negative Strip, self-adhesive paper and sealer.
Zig-Zag Edges : Not a full tutorial because it’s just too simple, linen pieces are sewn together with a zigzag (raw edges exposed).
Handkerchief Wrapped : Made with a few clever ties of a handkerchief. The DIY site it references is in Japanese but still check out the pictures if you need more guidance.
Catherine Wheel : (crochet) Cheery with a picot edging and body done in rows of colorful clusters.
With Strap : Learn how to make and attach a buttoned strap so you can hang it on a purse or tote.
Patchwork : Use pretty scraps to make this charming item. Easy sewing project.
Trimmed : Made with midweight fabric and coordinating trim to jazz things up a bit.
Basic : A basic design using four coordinating pieces of fabric.
Pretty : (crochet) A dainty design featuring charming flowers and an envelope style pouch.
Feminine : Simple crochet pattern using yarn in two colors (one for the body and one for edging).
