I didn't know this...I've been cooking for 30 years, and know my way around the kitchen. I read the instruction books that come with things like blenders. Thank you. I was so excited I called my mom, and she laughed and said, "Of course, dear, it has always been that way...". Well, nobody ever told me.

Great tip. I'm sure many people know that you can get a mason jar when you purchase various tomato sauces. Some may not want to buy an entire case. You can also vacuum seal mason jars with the Seal a meal devices. You just have to buy a set of little vacuum tops.

Hi guys, did you visit the website to read the whole tip? There's a picture tutorial to walk you through it too. Basically:

1. Remove the base from the blender (the base has the blender blade)
2. Fit the base on a jar that is fill with nuts or spices or whatever
3. The jar can now be fitted onto the blender machine

Hope that helps :)

After reading this I went right into my kitchen pulled out a mason jar and tried it. Bloody Brilliant!! I use my blender every day mostly for protein drinks. The idea that if my blender cup broke that the jar could help me get by before i buy another one is incredibly valuable.
