Here’s a bunch of ideas for making a variety of bulletin and memo boards, you’ll find cork, ribbon boards, dry-erase and magnetic versions. Some pretty, some plain, but each do the trick!
Ribbon: Homasote fiberboard covered in floral fabric and crisscrossed with ribbons held in place by painted nails. Also see this version.
Fabric Magnet Board: Cover a sheet of galvanized metal with fabric (using hot glue) and them frame with an old picture frame that’s been spiffied up with paint.
Picture Frame Dry Erase: Fabric wrapped cardboard insert placed inside the frame and under the glass.
Wall-Sized Whiteboards: Some showerboard, cheap plywood sheeting and liquid nails are all you need for this project.
Cabinet Door Message Center: Easy project, all you need to do is affix cork squares to the inside of a cupboard door, helps keep your favorite recipes handy!
Repurposed Calendar Holder: Make a pretty bulletin board with something that has an interesting frame (like an old calendar holder), a roll of cork, cardboard & paint.
Framed Fabric & Cork: Made with cork tiles, an old picture frame and pretty fabric.
Framed Chicken Wire Display Board: An old picture or mirror frame is spray painted then chicken wire is stapled to the back. Can be used to hold pictures, notes, whatever you like.
Dry-Erase Memo Board: Neat idea using a picture frame with fabric wrapped cardboard and transparency sheet on top.
Framed Chalkboard: A piece of plywood is cut to size (to fit frame) then painted with chalkboard paint.
Chalkboard Wall Organizer: Write notes, pin memos, hang and display items…this one does it all!
