Quartet: Each measures 6″ square (approximately) and requires about 40 yds of worsted or heavy worsted yarn. Four different designs to choose from.

Gathered: Rows of purl & knit are made to accomplish a gathered effect.

With Optional Edging: Worked in two colors (Beginner skill level) and features an optional crochet edging worked in sc around the piece.

Sploshy: Recommends using 100% cotton and there’s a nice texture to this with a wide border.

Dungarees (Bloomers): Cute gift idea, two cloths are made then woven together with ribbon, includes poem instructing to pull apart.

Fierce Ruffles: Worked in two contrasting colors (one for the body and the other for the ruffles), features a loop on one corner for hanging.

Aunt May: This is simply ribbing and garter stitch with a 12 row repeat and a crocheted border.

Retro-Style Linoleum: Features a “scrubby” side since it’s a slip-stitch design.

Springtime: I did these using Lily Sugar’n Cream 100% cotton yarn (Ecru) and it turned out very nice.

Double Bump: These come out square and lay flat.

Waffle: Uses the raised box stitch to give it a great waffle texture.

Stripes & Stars: Made with any worsted weight 100% cotton yarn in red, white and blue.

Ballband: This handy project works up in no time and is a perfect addition to any kitchen.

Two-Colors: This uses a 2-color slipped-stitch design and has a tidy slipped-stitch edge.

Scrubby Textured: This is made with two strands of #10 cotton, good scrubby texture.

Garter Slip-Stitch: Finished size app. 8.5″ X 9″.

Chinese Wave (pdf): This turns out nubby, thicker and more stable than plain garter stitch.

Diagonal: Finished size is approximately 8 x 8 inches.

Easy Squidge: A nice tight gauge gives a good squidginess, and it won’t stretch out too much when wet.

Basket Rib: With one 2 oz ball of yarn and size 6 (4mm) needles you should be able to whip up two of these.

Intertwined: Here’s an interesting project that requires dropping some stitches.

Simply Striped: Made with 100% worsted weight cotton.

Double Woven Stitch: If you want something with variegateds that “pop”…this is the one for you!

Berry Basket: To make this into a towel or larger item increase in increments of 5 stitches and/or 5 rows.

Garterlac: These are done in garter stitch and have no right or wrong side.

Woven Basket Stitch: To get started you need to cast on an even number of stitches using the long-tailed cast on.

Organic: This is first worked in main color then contrast edging is done in single crochet and the “letter” is embroidered on with a darning needle.

Candy Striper: This would also look fabulous with three, four, or even more different colors.

Nai Nai’s Favorite: This is a no-purl that has no gauge, make to your desired diagonal width or when you’ve used half your yarn.

Checker Square Garter: Finished size is a generous 10 1/2″ square, looks difficult but garter stitching and slipped stitches keep it simple.

Nifty Idea: Reusable J-cloths are cut into strips then whipped up in a quick project (stripes of different colors looks nice!).
