Dog Clothing & Accessories To Make: {Assorted Designs}

Need a chuckle today? Check out these adorable outfits for your furry little friend! You’ll find an assortment of coats, sweaters and booties that are either sewn or knit (there is a single crochet project to view), with some repurposing material from items like old jackets and even a vinyl tablecloth. I’ll be adding to this collection as I find more goodies so you may want to keep this page bookmarked for reference, have fun!
Fabric Coat Pattern: Made in three pieces (back, front, neck) and velcro dots for closure. Files can be downloaded (jpg).

Moss Stitch: Buttoned straps across chest and tummy. Can be made in 3 sizes: XS = Chihuahua, S = Bichon Frise, M = Cocker Spaniel.
Water Resistant: Made with water resistant linen and lined with fleece. Sized for small animals (approx. 13″ in length), templates available.

Custom-Fit: Shows how to measure body for a custom fit. Has a buttonhole opening for harness to fit through.
Turtleneck: Features a ribbed turtleneck, intarsia hearts-and-bones repeating motif, and front-leg sleeves. Fits medium-sized (22.5″ long; 22″ circumference).

Ribbed Body: Features a ribbed body and garter stitch front panel. Made to fit in two sizes: XS and S (5-10 lbs, or 10-15 lbs).
Country Gent: Template available to download (via pdf), made with wool fabric and lined with Sherpa fleece (synthetic).

Repurposed Wool Cardigan: Felt an old wool cardigan then cut it down and sew to fit, add pearl or crystal beads to embellish (optional).
Buttoned: Sized to fit approximately 16″ from back of neck to tail. Finished measurements: Chest (21″), Length (11 1/2″).

Dress: Skirt & bodice patterns available to download (via free pdf), made to fit a Chihuahua but can be modified for larger breeds.
Suede: Easy to adjust for any size, pieces are a rectangle and two straps (which are held in place with four buttons).

Repurposed Cozy: Made from an old hat or sweater and trimmed with lace, bias tape, ribbon, buttons and whatever else you like.
Easy: Can be striped, cabled or whatever you like with this tutorial. Use thinner yarn & needles, larger sizes can be made with thicker yarn & needles.

Festive: Cute snowflake design for the holidays available in six sizes, skill level is marked as “Intermediate”.
Polar Fleece: Includes pdf to download which can be enlarged to fit size you need. Made with polar fleece and Iron-on varsity letters (optional).

Recycled: Made with an old warm-up jacket or windbreaker and held in place with strips of Velcro.
Raincoat: Made with vinyl tablecloth, includes instructions for matching collar made of webbing.

Easy Project: Crafty way to keep poochy warm.
Button-up: To fit chest 41(44:51:56:67)cm; approximate length from centre back neck excluding collar 23.5 (24.5:30.5:34.5:44)cm.

6 Different Designs: Assorted ideas including a little black dress and a hoodie, one is crochet and the rest are knit.
Raincoat: The outer layer is waterproof (suggested fabrics are Gore-Tex, nylon, waterproof canvas) and the inner layer is something warm (lambswool, polar fleece). Velcro around the neck and stomach.

Striped Linus: Keep your friend cozy with this cuddly garment, worked on circular needles.
Hoodie: Fun design that keeps them warm and trendy at the same time, has a little hood on the back and braided yarn ties around the neck.

Harness: The front paws are slipped through the loops then it wraps across the back (held in place with velcro).
Bella Frill Dress: Designed for smaller animals, includes directions to adjust slightly to fit your pooch. Available via pdf download.

Dapper Collars: (for smaller animals) Cut off the cuffs from old shirts then button them around the neck of your favorite fella.
Vest: Sizes: (XS-S-M-L) Chihuahua, Bichon Frise, Cocker Spaniel, Irish Setter.
